An email confirmation will be sent to you electronically when you make your purchase. Should you require a physical ticket and are unable to print this out please contact the Ulster American Folk Park on +44 (0) 28 9042 8428 and we will find alternative arrangements.

A courtesy coach will bring Festival goers to and from Omagh Rugby Club over the weekend. This will increase the use of public transport and reduce the use of private cars to and from the event.

Recycling will be made easy over the weekend with a large segregated recycling waste bank kindly provided by Fermanagh & Omagh District Council which will complement existing measures and reduce the incidence of waste contamination.

Our food & drink vendors will also be segregating and recycling all of their waste over the weekend. They will actively source much of their food and drink supplies from local producers which will reduce the transportation of produce and contribute to sustainability.

The Festival is subject to a local licensing application and we will ensure the programme finishes each night at the designated time. As the event is taking place in a rural setting, with mature trees around the stages, the controls above will reduce the potential for sound pollution to the small number of neighbouring houses.

We have public and accessible toilets, along with baby changing facilities located in the main Visitor Centre, and public and accessible toilets at the Ship & Dockside Gallery and the Assembly Rooms. There will also be a number of portable and fully serviced toilets at the Pennsylvanian Farm House, near the main stage. There will be water points, sanitation stations and a dedicated first aid station on site.

Covid-19 regulations will be updated in accordance with public health guidance. We encourage our ticket holders to wear face masks when possible inside, regularly wash hands and stay home if they have covid-19 symptoms.

What can’t I bring to the festival?2022-02-24T08:57:10+00:00

We ask all our ticket holders to refrain from bringing their own alcohol, any glass, portable BBQs or flares to the festival. There will be security present on site during the festival who may confiscate any prohibited items.

When coming to Bluegrass Omagh, we have a few rules that we ask our guests to follow to make the experience enjoyable for everyone. When purchasing a ticket to Bluegrass, you are agreeing to our T&C’s policy so it is important to read it before purchase.

We recommend bringing a camping chair for watching acts and keeping comfortable in between sets. It’s also a good idea to dress for the Omagh weather, with an umbrella or a backup rain poncho…just in case! For those who forget, there will be a limited number of ponchos available for sale in our Visitor Centre.

There will be a bar serving alcohol, hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks as well food vendors. Bars and most food vendors will accept card payments.  If you would rather use cash then please bring it with you, as ATMs won’t be available on site.

Bluegrass Omagh 2022 will take place on Saturday 28th May and Sunday 29th May. The park will be open from 10am, with performances starting from midday. The usual visitor experience will be different due to the festival, so those coming in for 10am should be aware of this. Check out our opening times below;

The festival is held across the Ulster American Folk Park site, in various green spaces and fields, meaning terrain may be uneven in places. A limited number of wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available in the reception area for use on the museum grounds. We recommend pre-booking these to avoid disappointment, you can book by contacting us on +44 (0) 28 8224 3292.  All assistance dogs are welcome at Bluegrass Omagh.

For those wishing to explore the museum during the festival, we regret that it is not possible to provide physical access to the upper floors of some buildings on the site without compromising the accuracy of the historical experience. In such cases, visitors should ask to be provided with an alternative form of access, such as photographs.

Carers of people with disabilities will be admitted free of charge. Please contact us at info@nmni.com for more information regarding your specific needs.

We don’t have onsite accommodation, however there are many high quality B&B’s and hotels throughout the Omagh and West Tyrone area that would love to facilitate your stay. Plan your short break at discovernorthernireland.com. Please organise transport to and from your accommodation as this is not provided.

There is no on-site camping during the festival, however Omagh Rugby Club is offering their nearby lands for festival goers to pitch up a tent or park their caravan or camper van for the weekend.

We have free car parking facilities at Ulster American Folk Park for over 400 cars and 12 coaches on site as well as an overflow carpark. Space will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. We would recommend for those attending the festival later in the day that they use an alternative form of transport.

Yes, you will receive a wristband when you first enter the festival. This will guarantee you re-entry if you need to leave at any point.

General Admission tickets will not be available on the weekend of the Festival. The Folk Park will reopen for general admissions on Tuesday 31st May 2022.

From Omagh: If travelling via public transport, take the 273 or the X273 from the Bus Centre in Omagh and ask the driver to make a stop at Ulster American Folk Park.

From Belfast: If travelling by car, get on to the A12 and follow the M1 to Woodlough Road/ A4 in Mid Ulster. Follow the A4 and the A5 from Ballygawley passing through Omagh until you reach Ulster American Folk Park, 2 Mellon Road. The museum will be signposted as you come into Omagh.

If travelling via public transport, take the 273 from Europa Buscentre and ask the driver to make a stop at Ulster American Folk Park.

From Derry: If travelling by car, starting from Waterside Link continue on to Duke Street/A2. Follow Victoria Road and the A5 to Fermanagh and Omagh until you reach the Ulster American Folk Park, 2 Mellon Road.

If travelling via public transport, take the 273 from Victoria Park and ask the driver to make a stop at Ulster American Folk Park.

From Dublin: If travelling by car, follow the M1, N2 and A5 to Fermanagh and Omagh until you reach Ulster American Folk Park, 2 Mellon Road.

If travelling via public transport, take the 32 from Busáras, stop 135001 to Newtownstewart. Walk to Main Street, Omagh and take the 273 to Ulster American Folk Park.

Personal BBQs are not permitted at the festival, however picnics are allowed on site and picnic benches are located across the site. Otherwise, you can purchase food from the variety of vendor’s onsite. As per above FAQ, personal alcohol will not be allowed on-site.

We allow children aged 4 and under to be admitted free of charge. Children aged 5 to 17 can purchase a child ticket from £6.00.

Unfortunately, dogs will not be permitted at the festival. Guide dogs and accessibility assistance dogs will be allowed on site.

Can I access the museum for a normal visit during the festival?2022-02-24T08:45:55+00:00

While many of the historic buildings will be open and we encourage our visitors to avail of these, many of these spaces will be unmanned. The regular visitor experience will not be delivered during the Festival, however we will still have visitor guides in traditional costume throughout the site.

There are no designated feeding areas for parents and babies, but all toilets will include parent and baby changing areas which will be highlighted on our site map.

If you prefer to pay with cash, please bring it with you in advance as there will be no ATMs available on site. Bars and most food vendors will accept both card and cash.
